Things I see when I ride my bike to town...

Cute pastry shop on the main street
My first macaroon... everything I imagined and more.
He decided to paint my portrait so I was admiring the process.
True likeness indeed!
... so now we are best of friends. He's truly excited about it too, I swear.
Just don't mind his face, he's not very facially expressive.

Today I decided to put my books aside
and take advantage of gorgeous day.

So I jumped on my bike and rode to town.

Hinsdale it's such a cute and glam little
suburb. Definitely looking forward to
more sunny days like this.

La vita è bella...

The hottest week of March in the
history of Chicago has come
to an end... sadly.

The sunshine has been replaced with dreary
gray clouds and a chilly breeze.

This is why, the minute I got back from church,
I decided it was sweats and tea time.

Even in a colorless day la vita è bella...

My view for the rest of the day...

Just me, a shaken iced TAZO passion tea,
and my hematology notes today.

Don't worry dolls,
more exciting things to come...

Here is to cute little rooms and first days...

{My "home" here in Chicago... It's the cutest/most ridiculously expensive little room}
{It's official}

Today was my first day of clinical rotations.
Today was the first time I rode my bike to work/school.

Today also happened to be the first day of Spring showers and
thus the first time I wore a raincoat since grade school.

It was a day full of firsts, and despite the rain, I absolutely loved it.

I start tomorrow at 6:30am.

Let's hope it's a sunny day instead.

Now, time to hit the books.

My Ponytail's Best Friend

(Jacket: Forever 21, Jeans: Forever 21, Boots: Chaps, Beanie: fit to flick)

I found the perfect solution to a dilemma I'm sure all of us
have faced at one point or another...

Wearing a beanie while sporting a ponytail

Hannah, the mastermind behind Fit to Flick, came across this idea
while traveling through Italy with her boyfriend.

"I got sick of taking off my beanie for every photo in an attempt to look decent in photographs.
With a ponytail in my hair and the beanie on, the hat didn't cover my ears properly, my silhouette
looked like an alien's, and my hair was a disaster when I took the hat off for photos.
Needless to say it was a rather cold and unphotogenic trip."

Enter the most genius hat creation EVER.

The day in pictures...

... because normally, when on a two hour bus ride, taking pictures of yourself is the way to go.
Sixty-degree weather ALL day yet Lake Monona decided to stay frozen... silly, silly.
At Sean's (and now mine) favorite Mexican restaurant... so cozy and good!

Today was a good day.

Out of all the things we did my favorite
was spending time with him...

almost every day this week too!

(For those who have been following my blog for quite a while,
or know me personally, know this is quite the treat for us)

Today was my last official day at college...

(Presenting our Clinical Year Research Project)

Today was my last official day at my University.

Finals are done, research was presented, and belongings are packed.

It feels weird to not have to spend the whole night studying for an exam
or finishing research papers.

I'm so excited to start this new phase of my life.

In about a week I'll be starting my clinical practicum in Chicago and then in August
I'll be walking down the isle to get my diploma wearing my graduation gown.

I'm so excited to see all that God has on hold for me.

I promise to keep you dolls updates every step of the way.
