These next couple of days...

I have a four finals next week, one this Friday as well as a lab final report,
and lab final exam tomorrow, but guess what I'll also be doing
tonight while I study (I'm a great multitasker let me tell ya)...
Watching the VS fashion show, of course.

I think I need to set my priorities straight hehe.

Just 9 more days and I'll be back home for Christmas Break...
Then I won't feel guilty for doing anything other than school work.

I must survive these next couple of weeks first.

Pray for me dolls!
(Isn't my dorm hall so festively pretty? I think so)

Pumpkin Bars

Thanks to Pinterest I was, once again, inspired to try out
a new recipe when I went home for Thanksgiving...
4 eggs
1 2/3 cups granulated sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
15-ounce can pumpkin
2 cups sifted all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 cups sifted confectioners’ sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Using an electric mixer at medium speed, combine the eggs, sugar, oil and pumpkin until light and fluffy.
Stir together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and baking soda.
Add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture and mix at low speed until thoroughly combined and the batter is smooth.
Spread the batter into a greased 13x10 inch baking pan. Bake for 30 minutes.
Let cool completely before frosting. Cut into bars.

To make the icing:

Combine the cream cheese and butter in a medium bowl with an electric mixer until smooth.
Add the sugar and mix at low speed until combined.
Stir in the vanilla and mix again.
Spread on cooled pumpkin bars and add a sprinkle of nutmeg for the finishing touch.

They were quite the hit, so make sure to try them out next time you are
craving anything pumpkin.

I'm thankful for...

Family. It's everything.

My parents and their undying support

My sisters and their ability to make me laugh ALL the time

My love, who makes it so easy to fall in love with him over and over again

A warm bed at night

How He always provides
(Psalms 37:5)

My baby sister turning 15 (I can't believe it!)

Last year of college... one step closer to becoming Dr. Torres
(Oh the excitement!)

Having the option to sleep in... even when my body won't
(silly mental alarm clock)

Good health... never take that for granted

Delicious Puerto Rican food (Makes Thanksgiving all the most wonderful)

Being home for the holidays. There's nothing like it.

Christmas music (It's time!)

Gorgeous sunny days (very uncharacteristic for November... in Wisconsin)

Baking, baking, and more baking! (It's a bit of an obsession of mine)

GB Packers (11-0 baby!)

Two weeks till Christmas Break... 'nuff said

My blogging family... I love you all very very much!

...and much much more.

God has indeed blessed me so much and I pray to never take any of it for granted.

Beautiful November

('cause the sister likes my silly poses... the sillier the better)
(Blouse: LeMuse, Leggins: Forever 21, Boots: Endless)

Today is my first official day at home for Thanksgiving break.
It is surprisingly warm for late November.

It's funny because when I need it to be warm it's frigidly cold... and when I want
snow it's too warm for it. Because we all know Thanksgiving without snow
just isn't the same.

But it's ok because it was incredibly gorgeous outside and
perfect for a walk with the little sister.
PS. Check out LeMuse marvelous Fall/Winter collection...
I think my Christmas list just got bigger.

Pancakes At Midnight

Sweet Eggnog Pancakes (Looks exquisite but probably won't order it again)
White Chocolate Chip Mint Pancakes= Birthday Girl's choice
... and of course, Nutella Raspberry Crepes, can't go wrong with those.

Last night (or really really early in the morning) my girls and I went out
to celebrate a birthday, the fact that there are only two more days
till break, and the start of a marvelous holiday season.

And what better way to do so than with a run to the nearest
pancake house.

Wedding Wednesday featuring Joseph Petersen

Joseph Petersen sure got it right when photographing this absolutely beautiful couple.
From the warm tones to the bride's gorgeously unique dress, it is all captured
for us to fall in love with.

Erin & Collin's intimate event took place in Turlock, CA at a small church owned by
the groom's grandfather.

Now if you ask me, there is just something about a small and intimate wedding
that's just so incredibly romantic.

Here is to a good week...

(Photos by the pretty girlies in the second to last picture)

This weekend was exactly what I needed...
8+ hours of sleep each night
Quality time with my girls
Study time in the little coffee shop downtown

I think I'm ready to face the week.

I know it'll fly by because I told her to.

After all, she knows how bad I want to go home
to see my love and family (nine more days!).

Have a marvelous week!

My Dream House Part II

Hey dolls,
Remember a while back when I shared how my dream house would look like?
Well, thanks to Pinterest I now know how my dream kitchen, bedroom,

Worst Blogger Award goes to...

{It's a beautifully warm(er) night tonight... rare for November and the Midwest}
{My study jams... nothing like the classics}

Hey dolls,
I'm currently sitting on a cute little table at Barnes & Nobles attempting to master
my Bacteriology skills. Don't worry, I'm not actually growing any pathogenic cultures
or anything like that... Just studying.
(yay for Tuesday's exam!)

I'm taking a break from it though because I realized that I miss you guys
a LOT. I feel like I have neglected you lately and for that I'm sorry.
(Now you see why I deserve that award)

Very soon (17 days to be exact) I'll be home for Thanksgiving and two weeks later
I'll be back for Christmas break and then I will have much more to share with
you than just my latest exams and how sleeping has become my favorite hobby.

Just hold in there darlings, I'll be back soon.
