The Dress

Darlings,

I know it's not Wednesday but I just could wait until next week to talk about THE dress. This was one of the things I was most excited about, and I wasn't disappointed. Elegance and beauty defined this dress in every way possible. I'm also sure the similarities to another famous wedding dress did not go unnoticed. Princess Kate surely channeled Grace Kelly with it, while also leaving her mark on the gorgeous design.

The Calm Before the Storm

Darlings,
Last night a couple of my friends and I decided to get away from campus and treat ourselves to a night in the town before finals come. After some delicious Mongolian food at Tim's Too and a slice of this chocolate cake, finals where definitely not in my mind. But is time to face reality once more. A whole day of studying at Barnes & Noble and a whole weekend of hiding in my room with my books awaits me. Thank God my mommy is coming tomorrow. 

White Pants

Darlings,

I absolutely LOVE these pants. They always give me an reason to ditch the comfy clothes and actually put some effort into my outfit for school. With finals week just 4 days away (AHHHH!), these last couple of days have been pretty hectic. You know how it goes, going to bed late and getting up with just enough time to crawl out of bed and make your way to class... and that's when the sweatpants come in. But no more. With the blood banking exam and o.chem lab final behind me, I'll actually try these next 4 days... and then, when finals knock on my door I shall welcome my over-sized and incredibly comfy sweatpants with open arms once more. 

2 years later...

Darlings,

Despite the snow and the blood banking exam, I haven't been able to stop smiling today. You wanna know why?  Well, since you insisted I'll tell you. Today marks the day when, two years ago, this guy asked me to be his girl on a gorgeous little beach in Michigan. It has been a marvelous and incredible adventure, and I absolutely cannot wait to see what God has on hold for us.

this was what welcomed me this morning as I made my way to class to take my first pre-finals exam... definitely not what I had in mind for a perfect day but I guess it will have to do. Now more than ever you'll catch me daydreaming and being homesick for this. Hopefully soon.

12 More Days

Darlings,

That's how many days have to go by before I can finally make my way back home... but first I must survive pre-finals week (which is almost just as brutal as THE week), and of course finals. This week was also somewhat rough (definitely a glasses and comfy clothes week) and this weekend will be as well thanks to my Immunohematology exam on Monday and my Organic Chemistry Lab final on Tuesday.... but it's all good. After all, it's only 12 more days. 

The Simple Life

In the Caribbean there is a little island named Bequia which is home to the most perfect and marvelous retreat.  With no internet or cellphone signal, this house is the perfect place to go to when wanting to get away from the stress and rush of our everyday lives, and indulge in the simpler things instead.

Today was officially the first day of spring in my book. After all, it was today that, for the first time all year, I did not wear a coat. It was today that the calendar marked "18 more days till Summer Break". It was also today that I saw the first flower of spring. Then tonight I had the opportunity to listen to my school's music production of Italian opera... I'm telling you, everyday I fall more in love with Giacomo Puccini's compositions. All these things made me so incandescently happy! And of course my blue dress. You dolls know I have been looking for a pretty blue dress since I saw this... well, though not the ONE, it is still pretty marvelous in my eyes.

I know many of you know of my obsession with anything Italian, so you can only imagine my reaction when I saw these pictures. They literally took my breath away. This wedding it's the epitome of beauty. We can rest assured that this gorgeous bride definitely had her fairytale wedding. Enjoy!
